Realme 10 Pro+ review: Camera, photo and video quality

Triple-camera with lossless zoom The Realme 10 Pro+ features a triple camera similar to the one on the Realme 9 Pro+, but with a twist. There is the usual high-res primary cam, a basic ultrawide shooter, and a 2MP macro eye. The front camera remains a 16MP with a Quad-Bayer color filter. For this new model, Realme has used a 108MP sensor, up from 50MP on the 9 Pro+, but its lens has lost the optical image stabilization. There is also 3x lossless-like zoom, up from 2x on the 8 Pro+. The primary camera on the Realme 10 Pro+ relies on a 108MP Samsung (S5K)HM6 1/1.67" sensor with 0.64µm pixels and a Nona-Pixel color filter. This sensor is paired with a 6-element 24mm f/1.75 lens. There is no OIS. Night Mode is available for this camera. This camera seems to be offering a 3x lossless zoom. The ultrawide camera uses an 8MP Sony IMX 355 sensor behind a 16mm f/2.2 lens. There is no autofocus. Night Mode works on this camera, too. The third and final camera on the back is the macro one with a 2MP OmniVision OV02B sensor with an f/2.4 aperture lens and a fixed focus at 4cm. This camera cannot capture videos, and there is no Night Mode. The selfie camera is identical to the one we saw on a couple of previous Realme phones - it uses a 16MP Sony IMX 471 1/3" Quad-Bayer sensor with 1.0µmm pixels and an f/2.45 lens. The focus is fixed, naturally. Camera app The camera app is the familiar Oppo/Realme one. There are fewer menus - most of the modes are now on the main rolodex, which is good...

Realme 10 Pro+ review: Out lab tests

Display The Realme 10 Pro+ comes with a larger 6.7-inch AMOLED display and plenty of updates over the Realme 9 Pro+ screen. The resolution remains 1080p+ with 394ppi density. The cutout is now centered around the top, and the tempered glass is curved instead of flat. The new AMOLED offers a faster 120Hz refresh rate, and thanks to the native 10-bit color depth, it can show over 1 billion colors. The 360Hz touch response will be appreciated by gamers, while the HDR10+ certification will come in handy when streaming videos. This AMOLED also supports automatic 2160Hz high-frequency dimming. That's the highest PWM in the industry (S22 Ultra uses 480Hz), which should reduce strain on the eyes when using the screen at brightness lower than 90 nits. Finally, Realme promises 800nits maximum brightness, up from 600 nits on the 9 Pro+. When using the brightness slider, we captured 484 nits of maximum brightness, up from 433 nits on the 9 Pro+. In Auto Brightness mode, though, we captured 809nits - what Realme had promised in its press materials. We cannot test the promised peak brightness of 1,000 nits, but the display seems capable of achieving it, as well. The minimum brightness at point white is just 1.9 nit. Realme 10: release date, price, specs, and features

Highlights include a 90Hz AMOLED screen, a slim design, a big battery, and improved power. But there’s lots more to this phone too. Below you’ll find all the key details about the Realme 10, including the release date, price, and every significant spec. You'll also find details of the Realme 10 Pro and Realme 10 Pro Plus, which are only out in Asia at the time of writing, but will be launching more widely. Cut to the chase • What is it? An affordable new Realme phone • When is it out? Now, in select parts of Europe, coming soon to others • How much does it cost? €279 (around $280 / £245 / AU$430) Realme 10 release date and price The Realme 10 was announced on November 9, 2022, and it’s on sale now in Italy and Poland, with other parts of Europe set to get it too. As for the price, it starts at €279 (around $280 / £245 / AU$430), though we wouldn’t expect an exact conversion in other regions. Still, this is sure to be an affordable phone everywhere it’s sold. Then there's the Realme 10 Pro and Realme 10 Pro Plus, both of which launched on December 8, but initially only in parts of Asia. However, other countries are apparently planned, and the US might be among them, given that US prices have been provided. The Realme 10 Pro then starts at $319 (roughly £260 / AU$470), while the Realme 10 Pro Plus starts at $379 (approximately £310 / AU$560). Realme 10 Pro+ review: all that glitters is not gold

Contents • • • • • • Show 1 more item You turn to Realme, which continues to make good phones at reasonable prices, with the new Realme 10 Pro+ being no exception. It has been my main phone for more than a week, and while I like it, I don’t love it — and that’s a problem. Here’s a closer look at why that is. Andy Boxall/Digital Trends The Realme 10 Pro+ you see in our photos is in the Hyperspace finish, which according to the company, has a “prism acceleration pattern” and “nebula particles.” This, in language we can understand, means the rear panel has a glitter ball effect and is also quite sparkly. It’s not the most masculine of finishes, but it really catches your eye and, in the right light, looks colorful and fun. It reminds me of the amazing work Huawei did to make the Related • • • If the Hyperspace finish isn’t for you, then the Realme 10 Pro+ comes in Dark Matter (black) and Nebula Blue, a color-shifting blue that also recalls Huawei’s efforts. These comparisons are compliments, but unlike Huawei’s top phones, Realme has used plastic for the rear panel and not glass. This does help keep the phone lightweight at 173 grams, and the 7.78mm thickness makes the Realme 10 Pro+ slim and manageable. The sides are sharply tapered, but using the flexible TPU case included in the box prevents it from becoming uncomfortable to hold. Andy Boxall/Digital Trends Realme doesn’t mention Corning Gorilla Glass, but does say the glass on the front is double-reinforced for strength a...
