SALICYLIX SF 6% OINTMENT is used treat and prevent skin conditions such as acne, blemishes (discolored spot-on skin), skin redness, and other skin diseases. It is also used to treat and prevent dandruff, corn & calluses (thickened layers of skin) in affected individuals. SALICYLIX SF 6% OINTMENT is not recommended for use in patients allergic to salicylic acid. It is also not recommended for use in patients with active inflammation/dermatitis, infection (at the application site), acute viral infection, skin malignancy, and/or tanned skin. Before applying SALICYLIX SF 6% OINTMENT, inform your doctor if you are scheduled for surgery, and/or suffering from any kidney problems. SALICYLIX SF 6% OINTMENT is generally not recommended for use in pregnant women. It is considered to be safe to be used in breastfeeding women.
