The confirmation regarding this came from the Additional Secretary of the State Health Department, Kaushal Kishore who informed TOI that 60 % of the construction work has already been completed. Both of these upcoming medical institutes will have 500 beds each in the hospital and a total number of 250 MBBS seats, he confirmed. As per the data provided by the Minister of State of the Union Health Ministry, Dr. Bharati Pravin Pawar before the Parliament this year, there are a total number of 20 medical colleges in Bihar with an intake capacity for 2540 MBBS seats. पटना: समस्तीपुर के सरायरंजन में खुलने जा रहे मेडिकल कॉलेज (Samastipur Medical College) को लेकर जनता दल युनाइटेड (JDU) के दो कद्दावर नेता आमने-सामने आ गये हैं. मंत्री माहेश्वर हजारी ने बिना नाम लिये विधानसभा अध्यक्ष विजय कुमार चौधरी पर निशाना साधा है. पार्टी के अंदर ही हो रहे विरोध से जदयू असमंजस में है, जबकि विपक्ष जदयू पर निशाना साध रहा है. विपक्ष का कहना है कि आने वाले चुनाव से पहले पार्टी ताश के पत्तों की तरह बिखर जाएगी. मुख्यमंत्री माहेश्वर हजारी ने विजय चौधरी का नाम लिये बैगर कहा कि एक नेता के प्रभाव में आकर मेडिकल कॉलेज की जगह को बदला गया है, जिससे पूरे जिले को लोगों को लाभ नहीं मिलेगा. इसको लेकर हमने मुख्यमंत्री नीतीश कुमार से भी शिकायत की थी, वो हमारी बात मान भी गये थे, लेकिन अब शिलान्यास हो गया. उन्होंने कहा कि मेडिकल कॉलेज जिला मुख्यालय से 25 किलोमीटर दूर बन रहा है, जो एमसीआई की गाइड लाइंस के भी खिलाफ है. माहेश्वर हजारी के विरोध पर जदयू नेताओं में खलबली है, वो इस मुद्दे पर ठीक से जवाब नहीं दे पा रहे हैं. जदयू के असमंजस के बीच राजद ने निशाना साधा है, उसका कहना है कि हमारी जो आशंका है, वो लगातार सामने आ रही है. अब वो दिन दूर नहीं, जब जदयू ताश के पत्तों की तरह बिखर जायेगी. मेडिकल कॉलेज को लेकर माहेश्वर हजारी और विजय कुमार चौधरी के बीच तनातनी नई नहीं है. जबसे मेडिकल कॉलेज खोलने की चर्चा शुरू हुई, तभी से दोनों नेताओं में इसको लेकर मतभेद दिखते रहे हैं. मुख्यमंत्री नीतीश कुमार तभी से माहेश्वर हजारी ने अपनी नाराजगी जतायी, लेकिन विजय चौधरी का तर्क भारी पड़ा. अब सरायरंजन में मेडिकल कॉलेज खुलने जा रहा है.
