Bihar Floods: Rail Movement Suspended Between Darbhanga

Vaishali: East Central Railway has suspended rail movement between Darbhanga and Samastipur section on Tuesday due to flood water touched near the rail bridge between Hayaghat and Thalwara station of Samastipur division. "The operation of trains on Samastipur-Darbhanga section has been changed", East Central Railway, official statement. According to the official statement, routes of some of the trains passing through the Hayaghat Railway Section have been modified in view of passenger safety and security.

समस्तीपुर : आनंद विहार से जयनगर जा रही गरीब रथ (12436) एक्सप्रेस बुधवार (14 जून) को 'द बर्निंग ट्रेन' होने से बची. अचानक ट्रेन की जी-3 बोगी के पिछले हिस्से में टॉयलेट की ओर आग लग गई. घटना बरौनी-समस्तीपुर रेलखंड के नाजीरगंज और दलसिंहसराय रेलवे स्टेशन के बीच जनकपुर गांव स्थित 39 नंबर रेलवे गुमटी के पास की है. इसी दौरान उस बोगी में सफर कर रहे यात्री ने बोगी के पीछे आग की तेज लपटों और धुएं को देखकर जंजीर खींचकर ट्रेन रोक दी. ट्रेन की बोगी में लगी आग को देखकर स्थानीय ग्रामीणों ने आनन फानन में बोरिंग चलाकर तो कोई बाल्टी में पानी लेकर ट्रेन की ओर दौड़ पड़ा. इधर ट्रेन की बोगी में लगी आग की सूचना पर दलसिंहसराय से अग्निशमन दस्ता की टीम के साथ रेल पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची. करीब दो घंटे की मशक्कत के बाद काबू पाया गया. इसके बाद आग लगी कोच जी-3 को ट्रेन से अलग कर दिया गया. वहीं अन्य बोगी को इंजन के पीछे से जोड़कर कोच में बिजली की आपूर्ति बहाल की गई तब जाकर यात्रियों को भीषण गर्मी से राहत मिली. बरौनी स्टेशन पर यात्रियों ने की थी शिकायत ट्रेन में यात्रा कर रहे राजा और वेद प्रकाश ने बताया कि उन्हें बोगी में स्पार्क जैसी बदबू आ रही थी. इसके बाद बरौनी स्टेशन पर इसकी शिकायत भी की लेकिन रेलवे ने उसे गंभीरता से नहीं लिया. घटना के कारण ट्रेन की बोगी में सफर कर रहे लोगों के बीच अफरा-तफरी मच गई. सफर कर रहे निशांत कुमार, गुड़िया देवी, देवेंद्र झा, अनिकेत, आरती देवी, अमित झा, सरोज महतो, रामपरी देवी समेत कई यात्री अपना सामान लेकर नीचे उतर गए और दूसरी बोगी में चले गए. इधर सूचना मिलने के बाद समस्तीपुर मंडल के डीआरएम आलोक अग्रवाल मौके पर पहुंचे. अन्य टीम भी पहुंची और जांच की. हालांकि इस घटना में किसी के हताहत...

Railways is carrying on track maintenance work on priority in view of the summer heat at all vulnerable places in the ECR. Two wheels of a goods train Damdim-NJP-Chilahati derailed near New Jalpaiguri station in Siliguri at 11.10 am on Wednesday. Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) CPRO Sabyasachi De said the restoration work was completed at 2:17 PM. This comes days after another goods train derailed in Assam's Kamrup district on June 7, news agency PTI reported. Meanwhile, a separate goods train carrying coal derailed between Thadi and Ankapaller railway stations in Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday. However, the Chief Public Officer of Southern Central Railway said the officials are clearing the railway track at the site. In the Bihar district of Samastipur, an instance of railway line theft has come to light. According to reports, the stolen track is around 2 kilometres long. In relation to the event, two Railway Protection Force (RPF) employees have been suspended. A departmental investigation into the accused has been set up, and if proven guilty, a FIR will also be filed. The details of the theft were made public on January 24, 2023. Major accident averted after fire breaks out in Delhi
