Gargi is an extremely IMPORTANT film in how it subverts certain troupes and cliches that you associate with a genre film of this kind. Even without the discussion around it's core subject, it's a passionately written, acted, executed film that's made with so much grit by a guy who seem to know his craft.

The film is written and directed by Gautham Ramachandran of Ritchie fame. It is unclear if Gargi will have a theatrical release or take the OTT route.
