The fort was built to protect the city of Amer from the enemy attacks. The wall of Jaigarh measuring 30 km approximately surrounds all the surrounding hills making it the third longest wall in the world after Great Wall of China and Kumbhalgarh. The fort gives a beautiful scenic view of Amer fort, Nahargarh fort and the city of Jaipur.
