fuels

Carbon is the most important constituent for the resources of fossil fuels such as petroleum, oil shade, coal gas, coal tar, coal, ethanol, petroleum, ethane, LPG, CNG etc. The two main carbon fuels are fossil fuels and biofuels. Biofuels are extracted from organic matter and are then harvested.

Over time, different types of fossil fuels formed, depending on the combination of organic matter present, how long it was buried, and what temperature and pressure conditions existed when they were decomposing. 2. There are three major types of fossil fuels: 3. Coal is formed from ferns, plants and trees which hardened due to pressure and heat

Their extraction and use are the root cause of air pollution and climate change. Each year, an estimated 8.7 million people die worldwide because of fossil-fuel–generated particulate air.

The total expenditure of energy in the world each year is about 3 × 10 17 kJ. 80% of this energy is provided by the combustion of fossil fuels: oil, coal, and natural gas (the sources of the energy consumed in the United States in 2019 are shown in Figure ).
