luteinizing

Gonadotropins. Correlation between integrated LH and FSH levels and the response to luteinizing hormone relasing factor (LRF). Hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis in two men with aromatase deficiency: evidence that circulating estrogens are required at the hypothalamic level for the integrity of gonadotropin negative feedback.

In males, the luteinizing hormone triggers the production and secretion of hormones known as androgens from the testes. Along with the secretion of androgens and Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH), this hormone also controls spermatogenesis.
