0 Islamic Education March 02, 2023 Shab-e-Qadr: Shab-e-Qadr is one of the holiest nights in the Islamic calendar, which falls in the last ten days of Ramadan. It is believed that on this night, Allah revealed the first verses of the Quran to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

The best du’a for the holy night. Surah Qadr ( Arabic: سورة القدر ) is chapter 97th of the Holy Quran, the name of it was derived from “Laylatul Qadr” which was mentioned in the first verse of its 5 verses. Laylatul Qadr means the night of glorification, honor, and majesty, the first night of the Quran Revelation.

Shab-e-Qadr is believed to signify the night when the first verses of the Holy Quran were unveiled to the Prophet Muhamd. According to Islamic tradition, Laylat al-Qadr or Shab-e-Qadr as the night when the Holy Quran was first sent down from Heaven to the earth and also the night. In an authentic narration from the Prophet , we read: “Whosoever worshiped on laylat’l-qadr, with faith and with a sincere intention, all of his previous sins are forgiven.”. [i] This night is special for the Ummah of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Worshiping Allah in it is equivalent to worshiping Him for 1000 months.
