The name of this serene place means solitary monastery. It was initially constructed in 1909 but had to be rebuilt after catching fire in 1947.

From hanuman Temple, there are around 500 steps to reach Patala Ganga. There is also the option of travelling via rope way. The ropeway which starts from the ropeway centre near Srisailam Haritha Hotel is quite popular among visitors. The timings of ropeway are from 6 AM to 5.30 PM.
