You all must be aware that after obtaining my MBBS and MD in Medicine degrees from KGMU in 1984 and 1987, I joined the Department of Gastroenterology at Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education, Lucknow, India as a Senior Resident (DM Specialist training). After having clearing my examination in 1991, I joined the Department of Hepatology at Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, India as an Assistant Professor in 1993, and was working as Professor and Head of the Hepatology Unit at the time of assuming charge as Director, Sanjay Gandhi PGIMS. . I am a keen believer of the adage “The only limit to the height of your achievements is the reach of your dreams and your willingness to work for them”. My enthusiasm and passion to set up ‘state-of-the-art’ Hepatology and Liver Transplantation services at PGIMER, Chandigarh, led to me being closely involved with the running of Liver Clinic; teaching MD students and students specializing in Hepatology and Gastroenterology; carrying out independent research projects. Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow, is a Super-Speciality Teaching and Training Medical Institution, situated to the Southeast of Lucknow City on Lucknow-Raebareli Road, and is nearly 12 Km from the main (Charbagh) railway station, Lucknow Airport and city center (Hazratganj). The exam will be conducted on February 18, 2023. The applicants can print their hall ticket for the Common Recruitment Test (CRT) online from the Institute website www.sgpgi.ac.in; www.sgpgims.org.in. For all posts, a Common Recruitment Test (CRT) will be held. The Common Recruitment Test (CRT) will be of 02 hours in duration and will be of 100 marks.
