The Khameran were a warrior tribe who were deceitfully imprisoned & enslaved in the fort of Kaza by Shuddh Singh (Sanjay Dutt). Their leader Shamshera (Ranbir Kapoor), tried to escape the fort to earn the price of his tribe’s freedom but in vain. 25 years later, his son Balli begins a journey to fulfill his father’s legacy and come to be the next Shamshera battling to win the freedom of his tribe.

IMDB must do some thing to figure out genuine reviews from fake reviews which now all big corporates are able the generate. By getting higher ratings for movie they can face their saves but will not be able to save the movie. So may 8 9 10 stars for such a movie will always raise the suspicious among genuine viewers. IMDB please check if there is first time review by any account and than that account become inactive for a long time. This movie genuinely deserve 4 stars only. Waste Of Time, Waste Of Money, & lots of headache after watching SHAMSHERA. The Director has a good story but God knows what he is thinking while directing this movie. Movie is so stretched that I can't even talk about it. From the start itself the plots lose the connection and the audience can't even connect with the storyline. Songs are the worst part in the movie. After every 10 mins one song is there to irritate you. I mean why we have to be reliable on songs when you have a good story. Poor direction,worst screenplay intact sometimes dialogues also gets bored while watching the movie. Only Ranbir Kapoor performance was great & Vaani Kapoor dance performance was good. Rest cast are below average. Once again A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT from Yashraj. Waste of money. Regretting going for the movie. Plot is seems to be inspired from Bahuballi, Sholay, Badrinath (Telugu), Mad Max and of course Thugs. Acting wise Ranbir has done a normal job like we do have better actors around its isn't like he was phenomenal....

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], June 29 (ANI): Bollywood director Karan Malhotra has asked viewers whether they are ‘ready to dance’ as he announced the release of his film ‘Shamshera’s’ brand new song ‘Ji Huzoor’, starring actor Ranbir Kapoor. “Are you ready to dance?” captioned the director on Instagram. https://youtu.be/FwH4ruvzjxQ The 2-minute 16-second video shows Ranbir as the character Balli, sporting a rugged look. He seemed to be having a blast with the kids, dancing to the tunes of Ji Huzoor amid sandy terrains and mud houses. Ranbir’s rustic avatar, wearing a Pathan suit, with unkempt hair, and a red-coloured bandana suited him quite well. He was surrounded by kids who seemed to love Balli. Ranbir’s energetic dance moves and his quirky expressions were an added bonus. ‘Ji Huzoor’ is sung by the famous Aditya Narayan while additional vocals are given by singer Shadab Faridi. The song is written, composed and produced by Mithoon. For the unversed, in ‘Shamshera’, Ranbir would be playing his first double role.
