• सबसे पहले जमीन पर लेट जाएँ। • पेरों के बीच में उतनी ही दूरी रखें जितनी कमर की चोडाई हो. • अगर कमर 14इंच चोडी है तो पेरों के बेच की दूरी भी 14 इंच ही होनी चाहिए। • हाथों को शरीर के बगल में लगभग 15cmcm सेंटीमीटर दूरी पर रखें। • हथेलियाँ उपर की और खुली हुई और अंगुलियाँ थोडा मुड़ी हुई होनी चाहिए। • हाथों को उपर की और इसलिए रखते हैजिससे कि संवेदना कम महसूस हो और आसन में अवरोध न हो. • .मुह को बंद रखें। • जबड़े को ढीला रखें। • चहरे को शांत और तनाव रहित रखें। • सर के नीचे एक पतला तकिया या कम्बल रखें। • तकिये के दोनों किनारे कन्धों के नींचे रखें। • शरीर को शिथिल बनाकर सभी शारीरिक क्रियाएं रोक दें. • सामान्य साँस पर ध्यान दें. • अपने शरीर के उन अंगों को और भागों को महसूस करें जो जमीन के सम्पर्क में है। • अगर इस दौरान विचार आते हे तो उन्हें दबाने के बजाय ध्यान हटाकर अपने अंगों की और ध्यान लगाए। • वैसे इस आसन को दो आसनों के मध्य में भी 2-4मिनट के लिए भी कर सकते है परन्तु आप इसे केवल ज्यादा समय तक भी कर सकते है क्योकि इसका जितना अभ्यास किया जाये उतना अच्छा रहता है। • इसको निंद्रा से पूर्व और आसनों के मध्य में करना चाहिए। सावधानियां • यह अभ्यास सम्पूर्ण मन और शरीर को शांति प्रदान करता है। • यह शरीर की उत्तेजना को नियंत्रित करता है। • यह शरीर के हारमोंस को नियंत्रित करता है. • थकान मिटाता है। • क्रोध को भागता हैब्लड प्रेशर को नियंत्रित करता है। • मन को चिंता मुक्त करता है और एक सकारात्मकता उत्पन्न करता है. • मधुमेह और ह्रदय रोग में लाभकारी है। • मानसिक रोगोंमें यह अचूक लाभ देता है।
