SHI International Hires Andrea Daugherty to Expand Healthcare Vertical

SOMERSET, N.J.--( Daugherty joins SHI from the Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin, where she served as Chief Information Officer. She developed and implemented new programs and enterprise strategies for infrastructure, governance, information security, clinical systems, and project management as a part of Dell Medical's digital transformation. She brings more than a decade of progressive healthcare technology and clinical experience as well as a unique perspective as a former SHI customer. “Andrea’s exceptional experience in IT and healthcare make her a perfect fit to help SHI’s health care customers drive digital transformation throughout their organizations,” said Denise Collison, Senior Vice President of Public Sector. “Andrea has consistently broken barriers in her career as the first African-American female in every IT leadership position she’s earned, demonstrating not only her proficiency in healthcare technology but also the determination and commitment that SHI prides itself on. Today SHI launched our new brand identity to the world – a new look that reflects the evolution of a business early in its fourth decade and looking ahead. Today’s SHI is very different from “Software House” – the $1 million reseller acquired by Thai Lee and Koguan Leo in 1989. We still sell software, a lot of software. And hardware of all shapes and sizes. But increasingly that’s only part of the ‘select, deploy, manage’ value proposition we offer customers. Outwardly, our evolution can be hard to track.
