The Commerce Department creates a stimulating environment for the academic growth of its students and provides them with a thorough understanding of a range of subjects such as business organization, financial accounting, corporate law, economic theory and business communication. The faculty members of the Department are known for their expertise in finance and organizational behaviour and impart practical knowledge of the discipline in auditing, company law and income tax. Interwoven into teaching practices is the goal of fostering in students a sense of responsibility towards society, in particular those sections of the population that are underprivileged. In line with this emphasis, the classroom space is democratic and one in which differences in opinions are respected. Most importantly, teachers remain available to students at all times. Upon graduation, many students find placements with renowned business organisations such as Deloitte, KPMG, NODWIN and American Express. Sessions and Talks On 8 th September 2021, the department organised a session, ‘Fin-ace’, on the world of Finance. Inequality presents itself in many shapes and forms in the world today, but we have overlooked the profound impact of mental poverty. While there is a growing body of research on poverty, poor mental health, and disability, little has been done to investigate the interplay of stigma, mental illness and poverty, particularly in low-income countries... Ceteris Paribus is our online platform which features regular articles on everything under the sun by undergraduate students, professors and professionals. The platform features diverse articles which are driven by research and thought. Ceteris Paribus also welcomes contributions and believes in free dissemination of knowledge, without boundaries. The SRCC courses are offered at the UG and PG levels. The courses are offered in streams like arts, commerce, and, management. The college was established in 1920 and is one of the most prestigious colleges at the University of Delhi (DU).
