Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka along with several Congress leaders and workers visited Vir Bhumi, the samadhi of Rajiv Gandhi and paid tributes. Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated by an LTTE suicide bomber at Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu on May 21, 1991.
