SRIVILLIPUTHUR TEMPLE

SRIVILLIPUTHUR TEMPLE Dear friends I was in Sivakasi during 1972-1974 and during the period I have visited Srivilliputhur Andal temple. I was having some work of repairing some manual telephone exchange boards brought from Ernakulam on automisation of Ernakulam exchange. Having so much difficulty of getting new boards it was decided by Tamilnadu circle to procure them from Ernakulam to install at Sivakasi. On brining it was found wiring was much damaged and we had to re wire. One devoted technician by name Parthan from Srivilliputhur exchange was given the job. He asked me the temple here is famous and once worship. To say fact I was not so religious other than worshipping in temples . Now my wife desired during my current tour to visit the Andal temple. Last week we visited Andal and Vatapathra sayi. We offered garlands and performed Archana. What specially attracted me was the NEATNESS OF THE TEMPLE premises. Of course my wife and son were interested to purchase palgova also. All about 25-30 shops are competing to sell plagova in front of the temple. The following information is from Wikipedia compiled about the temple.
