Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Rashtriya Ekta Trust (SVPRET), a special purpose vehicle was established by the Gujarat government. Chaired by the honorable Chief Minister of Gujarat, SVPRET is entrusted with the building of the statue and ensuring social development in the region in the fields of education, healthcare, infrastructure and welfare of the socio-economically weaker sections of society. The project encompasses a memorial, visitor centre buildings, a memorial garden, a hotel, a convention centre, an amusement park, research centers and institutes. SVPRET has been formed under the enthusiastic Chairmanship of The Chief Minister of Gujarat, to ensure seamless execution of the entire project. The Trust appointed a team of world renowned design and project management consultants, with rich experience of 13 of the world’s 100 tallest buildings, including Burj Khalifa (UAE) – the current tallest building in the world – A Turner Project Management India Pvt. Ltd .JV with Michael Graves and Associates, USA and Meinhardt India Pvt. Ltd. Bid process has been completed and EPC contract was awarded to L&T Ltd. Chennai on 27th Oct 2014
