"This affidavit was moved under section 32 of the Advocate's act, which says that any court, authority, or person may permit any person, not enrolled as an advocate under this Act, to appear before it or him in any particular case," said Nishant Boda, defence counsel. Allowing the application, the court had listed the matter first on 26 May for bail arguments. By PTI: Senior BJP leader Subramanian Swamy on Thursday held a meeting with Asaram Bapu in Jodhpur Central Jail and assured the self-styled godman that he would fight his case in the court. "Bail is a fundamental right of Asaram and he would soon file a bail application in the lower court," Swamy said, adding that he would fight his case in the court.

Jodhpur, Jun 19 : BJP leader Subramanian Swamy today argued for bail to Asaram Bapu, jailed in a sexual assault case, before a court here, which reserved the decision till June 20. The arguments on the bail application lasted for about an hour after which the court kept the decision reserved till tomorrow.
