Abstract: A machine-readable medium that gathers a plurality of key terms is described. In an exemplary embodiment, the machine-readable medium receives a plurality of terms and selects a plurality of key terms from the plurality of terms, wherein each of the plurality of key terms is a term that is highlighted in a running application. The machine-readable medium further associates a predictive search query for each of the plurality of key terms, wherein the predictive search query is executed when that term is found in a running application and the user selects this term in the running application. The machine-readable medium additionally sends the plurality of key terms to a plurality of devices, wherein each of the plurality of devices matches at least one of the plurality of key terms in that device. Abstract: A method and apparatus of a device that links a term in an application running on a device to a predictive search query is described. In one embodiment, the device receives a plurality of key terms from a key terms server, wherein each of the plurality of key terms is associated with the predictive search query. For each of the plurality of application terms, the device determines if there is a matching key term for this application term with at least one of the plurality of key terms. Abstract: Techniques for controlling a voice activated feature of a voice activated device are described. Data from one or more sensors and data indicative of a status of a user are received. Based on the analyzing the data, a proximity of the user relative to the location of the voice activated device is determined. One or more voice activated features of the voice activated device are enabled based at least in part on the determined proximity, one or more rules, and one or more user preferences. Abstract: In a support service for computing devices or software (or other service), a determination is made based on an incident report that additional data is needed. A first template is chosen from a set of templates and that chosen first template is customized for the particular incident to create a data collection plan. The data collection plan includes a set of data collection items. The data collection plan is forwarded to a user client device associated with the incident report. At the user client device, a user can choose to proceed with all or a subset of the data collection items. Data is then collected for the selected data collection items. The user is then provided with the opportunity to select which of the collected data to upload back to the support service. Abstract: A computer implemented method and system for processing a low quality captured image of a barcode of any type having a large amount of data is provided. An image processing application on a computing device acquires the captured image of the barcode, determines the type, for example, format, shape, etc., of the barcode in the acquired image of the barcode, and creates a gray barcode image from the acquired image of the barcode by gray shading over an entirety of the acquired image of the barcode. The image processing application modularizes the created gray barcode image based on the type of the barcode and binarizes the created gray barcode image based on the type of the barcode by comparing an average gray level intensity of each of multiple grids of pixels or by comparing gray level intensities of individual pixels in the created gray barcode image, with a predetermined threshold.
