20th Anniversary Of SWAGAT Initiative

20th Anniversary Of SWAGAT Initiative News: PM Modi will shortly use video conferencing to attend the 20th anniversary of the SWAGAT initiative in Gujarat. The Gujarati government’s State Wide Attention on Grievances by Application of Technology (SWAGAT) initiative was launched in 2003. It is an original idea that allows for open dialogue between the public and the Chief Minister as well as between the public and other government officials. Every month’s fourth Thursday is set aside as SWAGAT Day, during which the highest administrative offices address the concerns of the general populace. Under SWAGAT, there is a three-tier system for resolving grievances at the state, district, and taluka levels. Now, it extends down to the village level as well. All complaints filed at the taluka and district levels are first addressed by the appropriate authorities, and any outstanding complaints are then assessed by the Chief Minister personally. A SWAGAT applicant receives a special ID that allows them to access the case information and status online. The long-pending concerns are the main emphasis of SWAGAT. The GRAMME SWAGAT SWAGAT programme, which extends SWAGAT to the village level, was introduced on February 1st, 2011. The SWAGAT Online program’s expansion into rural areas has made it easier for rural residents to find speedy solutions to their concerns, even in the most remote areas of the state.
