The temple, built by the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, which has constructed exquisite temples worldwide, was completed this year after a four years of non-stop work except for the Covid-19 period. After the completion, the Murti Pranpratishtha ritual began from Friday, September 23. On Sunday, Sadhu Bhakti Priyadas Swami held the Praasaad Pravesh rituals and a Vishwashanti Mahayagya was organised on Monday. Nashik: Chief minister Eknath Shinde on Wednesday said the newly built BAPS Swaminarayan temple, on the banks of the Godavari river, will attract more religious tourists to Nashik, which is a prominent tourist destination. He praised the architecture of the huge stone-carved temple set up on 2.75 acre in Tapovan area of the city. Shinde said he had performed bhoomi pujan of the temple in November 2017 when he was a minister and today (Wednesday), he is present here as the chief minister of the state for the idol installation ceremony of the same temple. “Nashik is known as a holy city.
