On Thursday, the food aggregator app announced that Swiggy One users will now be able to order food from any restaurant without having to pay the delivery fee. Till now, free deliveries under Swiggy One membership only were applicable to select restaurants, so it is a big relief for the members. But there is a caveat. The restaurant that you are ordering from has to be within a 10km radius for the delivery to be free, and the order should be at least worth Rs 149, Swiggy said in a statement. That means if your food order is not Rs 149 after taxes, you may end up paying a delivery fee even if your restaurant is not far beyond 10km. Earlier, the minimum order value was Rs 199. The Swiggy One benefits also apply to its hyperlocal Instamart service. The additional benefits for Instamart orders include “exclusive offers” on over 1,000 popular products in categories ranging from daily essentials, fruits and vegetables, baby products, personal care, home utilities, cleaning essentials, and more.
