INTRODUCTION NEO MERCAZOLE 20MG TABLET contains Carbimazole which belongs to the group of medicines called Antithyroid agents. It is used in adults and children to reduce the formation of thyroid hormones in hyperthyroidism (an over-active thyroid gland), to restore the normal function of the thyroid before its partial removal by surgery and together with other treatments for overactive thyroid. Your doctor may ask you for occasional blood, liver tests to determine how you are responding to treatment. NEO MERCAZOLE 20MG TABLET is not recommended to use in patients with severe liver, blood disorders or history of inflammation of the pancreas (acute pancreatitis). Neo Mercazole 10 Tablet causes rapid weight loss as the most common side-effect.
