Firoz Shah Tughlaq Tomb, New Delhi

The tomb, a square chamber, is made of local quartzite rubble with a surface plaster finish that sparkled in white colour when completed. The door, pillars and lintels were made of grey quartzites while red sandstone was used for carvings of the battlements. The door way depicts a blend of Indian and Islamic architecture. Home to the most beautiful step wells in the country, Jamali Kamali Mosque and a 200 acre park with facets of heritage peeping at you from every nook and cranny, Mehrauli is one of those treasure houses where the stories of the past can go on for years. Visitors need a whole day at the Mehrauli Archaeological Park to truly enjoy the opulent 1000-year old legacy of this neighbourhood. A great spot for picnics, this giant heritage park with Qutub Minar in the backdrop, has become a popular cricket playground among the local youngsters. Mehrauli has a number of artistic gems that have been converted into stunning art galleries & rooftop restaurants popular for a grand view of the Qutub Minar and large part of South Delhi. Introduction In this article, different achievements of Firoz Shah Tughlaq will be discussed. It needs to be considered that the Firoz Shah was the ruler who was able to convince others. One of the significance of the Firoz Shah was, he considered banning rehearsals of the traditional theologians un-Islamic. In his ruling period, there were issues at first to accept the kingdom of a Muslim king. Hence, the acceptance shown with the responsibilities by Firoz Shah made him a Sultanate. Various achievements of the Tughlaq king have been showcased in the development of India. What was Firoz Shah famous for? The successor as the Sultanate of Delhi, Firoz Shah was known as the father of the irrigation approach in India. There are the definite successes of the Tughlaq kingdom in India for ruling in different decades. One of the factors that made king Firoz Shah successful in India was to build the biggest network through the channel in his time. Tughlaq was compelled by rebellions to recognise virtual autonomy to Bengal and other areas. He founded Sharia across his kingdom. Firoz Shah Tughlaq: Life Firoz Shah Tuglaq was a Turkish leader who was born in 1309. He ruled Delhi from 1351 to 1388. He was the son of a Hindu princess from Dipalpur and his father's name was Rajab. Rajab was the younger sibling of Ghazi Malik who carried the title of Sipahsalar to the dynasty.
