Pune Police launches Live Palkhi tracking facility

The Pune Police Commissionerate for the first time introduced Live Wari Tracking system to provide information on the procession of Sant Tukaram Maharaj and Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhi. This system will also share details about the traffic diversions and closure of roads on certain routes. Palkhi of Sant Tukaram Maharaj arrived in Pune on Tuesday. The traffic police informed that several routes have been diverted for smooth functioning of the procession. Citizens can log onto Pune city Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta informed that this initiative will help them know the exact location of palkhis which will further help the people who can plan their travel accordingly. Gupta further stated that the website designed specifically will remain updated from Tuesday to which will allow people to track traffic diversions, live location of the of palkhi and the blockages on the road. This website will have details of both the processions. Citizens can also get access to get direct visit to the temple at Pandharpur, detailed information about the trustees and contact numbers, etc.
