EMoS students Ghaniya Rashid Hamad, and Eunice Silas from CENIT@EA, NM-AIST, were among the winners each receiving rewards ( a cash of 1.6 M TZS and a gold medal). NEW DELHI: Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan attended the valedictory session of UNESCO India Africa Hackathon 2022 at Gautam Buddha University in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh today. The ministry of education (MoE) along with the ministry of external affairs and United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) organised the UNESCO-India-Africa Hackathon from November 22 to November 25, 2022. Encouraging students from Africa to study in India, Pradhan said, “The unique initiative brought talents from two continents with similar aspirations. More than 340 students from 22 African countries are present here combining their skills with 230 Indian students. More than 100 mentors and over 60 evaluators have done this in 36 hours to try and find solutions to 20 problem statements." "Initiatives like, UIAH advances the scope of cooperation, enriches cross-cultural exchanges, sows the seeds of leadership, creative thinking & entrepreneurship and strengthens the bonds of friendship." New Delhi [India], November 16 (ANI): The Ministry of Education, Ministry of External Affairs, UNESCO and AICTE will jointly organize a four-day UNESCO India Africa Hackathon starting November 21 at Gautam Buddha University in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan will inaugurate the Hackathon on November 22. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the Chief Guest for the prize distribution ceremony on the last day, Professor M Jagadesh Kumar, Chairman of AICTE told ANI. Several senior ministers from the participating African nations have already confirmed their presence. The Chairman AICTE further told ANI, “Events like UNESCO India Africa Hackathon help us in encouraging professional creativity and self-expression using the latest technology. When divergent minds work together, innovations happen. NEW DELHI: The Ministry of Education (MoE), in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs and United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) will be organising the UNESCO-India-Africa Hackathon from November 22 to November 25, 2022. A total of 23 nations, 412 students and 46 mentors will participate in the hackathon including five themes and 39 nodal agencies.
