Everything Coming to Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max & Other Major Streaming Services in September 2022

The biggest title to hit streaming next month is coming to Prime Video. On Friday, the streaming service will release the premiere of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, which is one of the most expensive TV shows ever produced. The series hopes to be streaming's answer to Game of Thrones and all eyes will be on Prime Video to see just how good it is. Lord of the Rings isn't the only big franchise with a TV show arriving in September. On September 21st, Disney+ will be releasing the first three episodes of Andor, a prequel series to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. McEnroe, Alan Cumming’s Showtime debut, and new crime drama American Gigolo. Kicking off the month on September 2 is McEnroe, which chronicles the life of the former No. 1-ranked tennis player in the world, John McEnroe. McEnroe reflects on his turbulent personal life and its influence on his on-court behavior which, in part, comprises his legacy. The same day, Emmy nominee and Tony winner Alan Cumming stars in the special Club Cumming Presents A Queer Comedy Extravaganza!. Featuring a diverse spectrum of queer comedians with a variety of comedic styles, the 75-minute special includes sets from Joe Castle Baker, Julia Shiplett, duo Zach Teague & Drew Lausch, Nori Reed, Pat Regan and Larry Owens.
