Uttar Pradesh Jhatpat Bijli or UPPCL Jhatpat Connection Yojana has been launched by the state government to provide instant electricity connections at affordable rates to BPL category families and other categories of families falling above the poverty line of Uttar Pradesh. In order to provide free electricity connections to poor families in Uttar Pradesh, the Power Corporation Department has developed an official website to take in online applications. Persons from BPL category families who fall below the state’s poverty line and people from APL category families who fall above the state’s poverty line who want to apply for an energy connection under this UPPCL Jhatpat Connection Scheme 2023, can make applications to the Power Corporation. When applying for a 1 to 25 KW electricity connection under the Jhatpat Connection Yojana, BPL category beneficiaries must pay a fee of ₹ 10 and APL category families must pay a fee of ₹100.
