Vaad HaRabanim of Greater Washin gton

​ The Vaad HaRabanim of Greater Washington is an organization of Orthodox rabbis that provides the Greater Washington Jewish community with critical services such as kashrus supervision, a beis din for the administration of Jewish divorce, a beis din for arbitration of financial disputes, and a beis din for conversion. ​In addition, the Vaad, also known as the Rabbinical Council, acts as a rabbinic resource and supports vital communal service organizations, such as the Chevrah Kadisha , Bikur Cholim , Yad Yehuda and the Mikvah Emunah Society. Members of the Vaad HaRabanim are dedicated to serving the broader Jewish community in whatever way possible and appreciate the opportunity to do so. The Rabbinical Council has established a respected conversion beis din to serve the needs of the community. Our beis din is a member of the Geirus Policies and Standards (GPS) network of conversion courts, which has the full endorsement of the Beis Din of America and which is recognized by the Chief Rabbinate of Israel. The Mikvah Emunah Society of Greater Washington (MES) was established with the mission of promoting, maintaining, and developing mikvaot in our community. MES currently operates the Wallerstein Mikvah, located in the Kemp Mill community in Silver Spring. Pathology Outlines

• Differentiated vulvar intraepithelial neoplasia (dVIN) is the putative precursor lesion of HPV independent vulvar squamous cell carcinoma • Subtypes: differentiated exophytic vulvar intraepithelial lesion (DEVIL) and vulvar acanthosis with altered differentiation (VAAD) with currently unknown prognosis but potential to develop carcinoma • Highly differentiated with overlapping histological features to benign vulvar lesions • Currently, there are no reliable immunohistochemical or molecular markers to establish the diagnosis • Differentiated vulvar intraepithelial neoplasia is an aggressive lesion with higher potential to become invasive than HPV associated vulvar intraepithelial neoplasia (usual type) • Mild to moderate atypical cells in basal and parabasal layers with hyperchromatic nuclei, lacks full thickness atypia • Enlarged squamous cells with eosinophilic cytoplasm, vesicular nuclei and prominent nucleoli, prominent intercellular bridges • Acanthosis, parakeratosis, elongation and anastomosis of rete ridges ( • Rare basaloid differentiation with atypical cells in upper cell layers ( • DEVIL: exophytic verruciform lesion with acanthosis; no basal atypia, no koilocytosis ( • VAAD: verruciform acanthosis, parakeratosis, absence of nuclear atypia, cytoplasmaic pallor cells in upper layers (

The Vaad Harabonim of Queens was founded over fifty years ago by Rabbis who shared a common vision. Seeking to unite the growing Orthodox Jewish community under the banner of Mitzvah observance, they envisioned an organization that would pool their efforts to create and maintain the Institutions of a Torah community.
