This would be the first launch after the three-train accident in Odisha on June 2 that claimed 288 lives. According to reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to flag off the trains via video conferencing. The routes on which the five trains will run are - Mumbai-Goa, Bangalore-Hubli, Patna-Ranchi, Bhopal-Indore and Bhopal-Jabalpur. The railway ministry had cancelled the launch of the Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat train after the Odisha tragedy. This is the first time that five Vande Bharat trains will start operations on the same day. While such launches in the past have seen a lot of fanfare, it is likely to be a relatively austere event this time in view of the Odisha accident. This will be the fifth Vande Bharat Express to be launched in India and will take 6 hours and 40 minutes to cover a distance of 479km. Indian Railways has successfully conducted a trial of the train, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the train, with 16 coaches and a seating capacity of 1,128 passengers, from KSR Bengaluru City on 11 November, Friday. Here’s everything you need to know about the new railway service. Vande Bharat Express Chennai-Mysuru-Bengaluru route The train will travel from Chennai Central to Bengaluru City to Mysuru Junction, crossing Perambur, Veppampattu, Katpadi Junction, Gudupalli and Malur. During the 6hr 40min journey, the Vande Bharat Express will only halt at Bengaluru City Junction. Vande Bharat Express Chennai-Bengaluru-Mysuru schedule and timings The train will run six days a week except on Wednesday. New Delhi: Mumbai is set to get its fourth Vande Bharat Express as trial runs for the rakes connecting Mumbai to Goa are set to begin on Tuesday. While details of the route are not known, the train is likely to navigate the difficult terrain of Pune and Nashik before reaching Goa from Mumbai. Currently, there are three Vande Bharat Express that originate from Mumbai. The destination for these trains are as follows: • Ahmedabad Gandhinagar • Sainagar Shirdi • Solapur The train to Goa will be the fourth Vande Bharat Express to start from Mumbai. Last month, the Indian Railways completed the electrification of tracks between Mumbai and Goa. Currently, the Madgaon Janshatabdi connects Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus in Mumbai to Nadgaon in Goa. It covers the route in nine hours. The train starts from Mumbai at 5:10 am and reaches Madgaon at 2:10 pm. On the return journey, the Janshatabdi starts from Madgaon at 2:40 pm and reaches CST in Mumbai at 11:30 pm. The journey from Mumbai to Goa is scenic as it is treacherous. Trial run of Vande Bharat Express between Patna and Ranchi begins from Patna Junction

By Jahangir Alam: The Railways authorities began the trial run of the Vande Bharat Express running between Patna and Ranchi on Monday. The trial run, that started at 6:55 am today from Patna Junction, will end by 8:25 pm after the train makes a return from Ranchi. Giving the brief of the trial run on Sunday, Virendra Kumar, the Chief Public Relation Officer (CPRO) of East Central Railway said, “A trial run of Vande Bharat train with state-of-the-art facilities will be done between Patna and Ranchi tomorrow, on June 12, via Gaya and Barkakana." For the return journey from Ranchi to Patna, this train will leave Ranchi at 2:20 pm and reach Gaya at 7 pm, and will reach Patna at 8:25 pm after leaving Ranchi at 7:10 pm, he said. The CPRO also said that the run of Vande Bharat would be done purely for operational/experimental purposes, for safety checks, etc. before regular operations. During the trial run of Vande Bharat proposed between Patna and Ranchi on June 12, general passengers will not be allowed on the train, he added. “The train will be operated via Jehanabad, Gaya, Barkakana, Koderma, Hazaribagh Town and Mesra. During the trial run, the train will run at a high speed. That's why it is appealed by the railway administration that common people keep a proper distance from the railway track, as well as keep the cattle away from the railway track,” the official said.
