Cricket buffs are looking forward to a good contest at the ACA-VDCA Stadium which is known for being a good batting pitch. “Beating Australia is always tough, be it at home or away, as it has some great players such as Steve Smith, David Warner, Travis Head and Marnus Labuschagne, as well as all-rounders like Marcus Stoinis and Cameron Green. The match is surely going to be a close contest. I bought tickets well in advance and I’m keenly waiting for Sunday,” said K. Santosh, a businessman from the city. N. Visakhapatnam: Municipal Commissioner checks on repair works at stadium

Visakhapatnam: Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Commissioner CM Saikanth Varma paid a visit to the 65th ward of GVMC on Tuesday. Accompanied by ward corporator Boddu Narasimha Patrudu, the Commissioner inspected the indoor stadium and swimming pool located at the ward. He directed the officials to prepare necessary proposals to complete the repair works to be done at the stadium. Further, the officials were asked about the maintenance of the stadium. Similarly, the officials were instructed to start the stormwater drain modernisation works in the ward.

Tickets for IND VS SA T20 match in Vizag to be available from 5 June

The Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) officials have announced that the tickets for the upcoming IND VS SA T20 match in Vizag will be available online from 11:30 am on 5 June 2022. The offline sales will commence on 8 June at three different centres across the city. As per the statement by the ACA officials, tickets for the IND VS SA T20 match in Vizag will be available on the Paytm app and Paytm Insider website. Though the offline ticket sale centres have not been revealed yet, the Swarna Bharathi Indoor Stadium is expected to be one of them. The indoor stadium served as a ticket sale centre for cricket matches in the past. A centre at the ACA-VDCA Stadium is also expected. Also, online booked tickets will be home delivered, as per the officials. Tickets pricing Rs 600, Rs 1,500, Rs 2,000, Rs 3,000 Rs 3,500, and Rs 6,000 will be available for booking.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has allotted three matches to the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA). Director of cricket operations, Andhra Cricket Association, Y Venugopala Reddy was happy to announce this and shared further details. He officially announced that the matches will begin from 28 September, 2021. The Director also announced that a total of six teams from Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Baroda, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, and Haryana will be participating in the Under-19 women’s cricket tournament. To gather further information, Yo! Vizag got in touch with the Secretary of Visakhapatnam District Cricket Association (VDCA), K. Parthasarathi.
