Unlike last year, there will be only one exam at the end of the academic session in 2023. "In light of the lessening of the impact of the Covid pandemic across the globe, the board has decided to conduct the 2023 examination from February 15, 2023," Bhardwaj said. "CBSE has decided to go back to the conventional practice of holding board exams once a year. In 2022, in view of COVID-19, these exams were conducted in two terms," Bhardwaj had earlier said. The results for the 2022 examination for classes 10 and 12 were announced on Friday. While 92.7 per cent of students have cleared the class 12 exam, 94.40 pc candidates have passed the class 10 exam. CBSE Class 10 2022 results out CBSE announced Class 10 results, which showed that 94.40 per cent of students cleared the exam with girls outperforming boys by a margin of 1.41 per cent. This is the first time that the CBSE has announced both class 10 and 12 results on the same day.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has already announced that 2023 board exam will start on February 15, 2023. While there is no confirmation yet about CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 exam dates, as seen in previous years, the CBSE board exams will conclude within a month from the date of the start of the exam. The “In the light of lessening of impact of the Covid pandemic across the globe, the board has decided to conduct 2023 examination from February 15, 2023,” CBSE statement said while declaring the Class 10, 12 CBSE 2022 results. Meanwhile, CBSE has also released the subject-wise CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 sample papers, marking schemes and question banks for all the subjects. The CBSE 2023 sample papers contain the specimen questions that can be asked in the 2023 board exams. The CBSE Assessment Scheme 2022-23 has been released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The CBSE has announced its decision to return to the annual examination scheme for the assessment year 2022-23, or 10th and 12th Board Exams 2023, in an official notice. The examination pattern for the Class 10, 12 board exams has also been changed. However, the exam format has been revised. The question papers for the CBSE 10th Board Exams 2023 will have 40% MCQs (multiple choice questions), 20% of the questions would be competency-based, while the remaining 40% would be subjective or short/long answer type questions. For Class 12, the breakup would be 30% competency-based questions, 20% objective or MCQ questions, and 50% long/short type answers. The table below summarises the same.
