As matches would go on, the WPL Points Table would start tumbling as every team would lock horns against each other and whether they win or they lose out. The importance of the WPL Points Table would reflect at the end of the league stages when each team would look into their win and loss tally. With most no. wins by a team go through the knock-out stages and the team which fails to win a game at the crucial stage will lose the chance of knockouts. ... More The WPL Points Table comprises the total number of wins and losses by teams. The tournament will begin with league matches, where each team will face the other in the following games. Then the top-4 teams will qualify for the knock-out game and then the top-2 will play the final. The WPL Points Table would come in handy at the end of the league stages when teams would look after their win and loss. If a team wins on a regular basis, then there won't be any issues but when a team loses their important matches in the group stage, then their qualification would be totally based on the net run-rate (NRR). If the NRR is good then a team can qualify for the knockout stage but if the team has moderate or negative NRR, then the team would be in deep trouble. All five teams would get 2 points if they win a game. If a team loses, they won’t get any points and it might affect their NRR. WOMEN'S PREMIER LEAGUE POINTS TABLE • In its first season, the Women’s Premier League will stage a total of 20 league matches and 2 Playoff games that will be played in a duration of 23 days. • The league will start on 4th March at the DY Patil Stadium with a blockbuster clash between Gujarat Giants and Mumbai Indians. • There will be 4 double headers with the first match starting at 3:30 PM IST. All evening matches will start at 7:30 PM IST. • The Final game of the league stage will be played between UP Warriorz and Delhi Capitals on 21st March at the Brabourne Stadium, CCI. • The Top three teams will qualify into the knockouts. The top-place finisher in the points table will enter the final directly. • The second and third will play in the Eliminator. • Top of the points table and winner of the eliminator will play in final. • The Eliminator will be played at the DY Patil Stadium on 24th March. • The Final of Women’s Premier League 2023 will be played at the Brabourne Stadium on 26th March.
