I've been experiencing progressively worse neurological symptoms over the course of about 7 years. Looking back at my childhood, they probably started earlier than that, but I began noticing them when I was about 14 years old. At first, it was things like difficulty pronouncing words with "s" sounds and difficulty tasting foods (one day I went to eat my lunch and realized it tasted like nothing). Then I started having excruciating headaches on the back-right side of my head and dizzy/off-balanced episodes. Then I started having issues with my memory, trouble recalling words, coordination problems, difficulty concentrating, and just difficulty comprehending things in general. I just feel slower, and things that are so easy for other people like parking a car or following the plot of a movie seem so complicated for me. When I was younger, it was rare for me to find something that was difficult for me. I know that sounds conceited, but I was always just sharper than most people around me who were my age. I caught onto things quicker. I never understood why my siblings would have difficulty with certain tasks because they were no-brainers to me. I never had to study for school or anything because I was just good at absorbing and understanding material the first time around. I'm not like that anymore; I struggle to do little things.
