Dua for Last 10 Days of Ramadan

The last ten nights of Ramadan are a time when Allah’s blessings, compassion, and mercy encompass His worshipers. The Prophet (ﷺ) exhausted all effort to worship Allah (سُبْحَـٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَـٰلَىٰ). by performing I’tikaf (spiritual retreat at the Masjid), praying through the night, and making dua abundantly. Muslims worldwide exert themselves in the final ten nights of Ramadan, seeking out the Night of Decree (Laylatul Qadr). It is the night when Allah (سُبْحَـٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَـٰلَىٰ) prescribes divine decree to each person. It is related by Imām Aḥmad that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Laylat Al-Qadr is within the ten remaining days [of Ramadan]. Whosoever stays up [in prayer/worship] Allah, Most Exalted, will forgive all of their past and future sins. And it is on an odd night, the 9th, or the 7th, or the 5th, or the 3rd, or the last night.” Aisha (رضی اللہ عنھا), the wife of the Prophet (ﷺ) asked: “O Messenger of Allah, if it is Laylatul Qadr, then what should I supplicate with?” He replied: اللْهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُعَنِّي Transliteration: “Allahumma, innaka Afuwwun Karimun, tuḥibbu al-afwa fa’afu anna.” Translation: “O Allah, indeed You are Pardoning and Generous; You love to pardon, so pardon us.” If one intends to pay the Zakat, make the following dua: اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهَا مَغْنَمًا وَلاَ تَجْعَلْهَا مَغْرَمًا Transliteration:Allahummaj-‘alha maghnaman wa la taj-‘alha maghrama Translation: O Allah, make it a gain and do not make it a loss! (O Allah, indeed, You are the Pardoner, You love to Pardon, so Pardon me.) [Tirmidhi] From all the dua’ of the Qur’an and Sunnah, the Prophet ﷺ specified this dua’ for the last 10 nights, showing us how profound it is. One of Allah’s beautiful names, al-‘Afuww (the Pardoner), appears five times in the Qur’an; four times with al-Ghafoor (the Most Forgiving) and once with al-Qadeer (the Powerful). Al-‘Afuww comes from the root ‘afw, which means to hide, obliterate, or remove something. This meaning connotes ‘pardoning’, which is when one looks over another’s error and does not take them to account for it. Technically, it means Allah’s protection from trials and sicknesses for the believers (i.e., aafiyah, safety, and well-being). In the Quran, its mentioned many times to seek repentance and forgiveness. (At-Tahrim 66: 8) Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), the most beautiful, sincere, and perfect human being on earth, who was sinless by the Mercy and Grace of Allah he also asked for for...
