حضرت شیخ عبدُللحق مُحدث دہلوی رحمۃُ اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ اپنے ایک مکتوب میں کچھ اس طرح لکھتے ہیں کہ : امام جلالُ الدین سُیُوطی رحمۃُ اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ ’’جمع الجوامع‘‘میں مُحدث ابوالشیخ کی تاریخ ا بنِ عساکر اور کتاب الثواب سے نقل کرتے ہیں کہ ایک دن حَجاج بن یوسف ثقفی( اپنے زمانے کے ظالم گورنر) نے حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کو مختلف اقسام کے 400 سے زائد گھوڑے دکھا کر کہا کہ اے انَس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ ! کیا آپ نے اپنے آقا (یعنی رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ واٰلہٖ واصحابہ وبارک وسلم ) کے پاس بھی اتنے گھوڑے اور اتنی شان و شوکت کبھی دیکھی تھی ۔ حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے اس سے فرمایا : اللہ کی قسم! میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ واٰلہٖ واصحابہ وبارک وسلم کے پاس اس سے بھی بہترین چیزیں دیکھی ہیں اور میں نے حضورِاکرم، خاتم النبیین، حضرت محمد مصطفیٰ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ واٰلہٖ واصحابہ وبارک وسلم سے سنا ہے کہ گھوڑے تین طرح کے ہوتے ہیں ، ایک وہ گھوڑا جو جہاد کے لئے رکھا جائے ، پھر اس گھوڑے کو رکھنے کا ثواب بھی بیان فرمایا ۔ (یہ بات عام طور پر حدیث کی کتابوں میں بھی موجود ہے) دوسرا وہ گھوڑا ہے جو اپنی سواری کے لئے رکھا جائے اور تیسرا وہ گھوڑا ہوتا ہے جو نُمود و نمائش کے لئے رکھا جاتا ہے اس گھوڑے کے رکھنے سے آدمی جہنّم میں جائے گا ۔ اے حَجّاج! تیرے گھوڑے بھی ایسے ہی ہیں یعنی تیسری قسم کے ہیں ۔ حَجَّاج یہ سن کر آگ بگولا ہوگیا اور کہنے لگا کہ اے انَس (رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ ) ! اگر مجھے اس بات کا لحاظ نہ ہوتا کہ تم نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ واٰلہٖ واصحابہ وبارک وسلم کی خدمت کی ہے اور امیرالمؤمنین (عبدالملک بن مروان)نے آپ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کے ساتھ رعایت کرنے کی ہدایت کی...
