Channel hidden by default. How to change?

Hello, when I create channels in a Team or a org team (Im the admin) The default way a user sees these are hidden. Even sometimes when the open the team it still wont unhide until they pin it. As a admin how can i force a new channel in a team to be always shown? I choose "automatically show this channel in everyones list, and while it is technically there, its hidden which we do not want. Thanks Hi, I am having the same issue with a live environment. We have Teams set up and when creating new Channels within that Team, we choose "Standard - accessible to everyone on the team" for the Privacy - however once its created - the channel is "hidden". We have too many users in Teams to have each one of them go and "unhide" the channel to use it. And Im sure like everyone, we have some less tech-savy users who dont know how to do this without guidance. We only have 3 channels, and this happens when we delete and create new channels. We have had other "Owners" of the Team create channels, but every time - they are marked hidden, and need to be set to "unhide" per user. Please advise, Support wasn't any help, they pointed me to a similar idea on Uservoice. However, I did find a workaround. Checking and unchecking the checkbox on the Channels page has no effect, however if you click the ellipse for the channel and choose Edit Channel, that checkbox does WORK if you unselect it, save, and then reselect it.

Changing Notification Settings for all users on a Team

Is there a way to change the notification settings for everyone that is part of a Team Channel? In other words... we have a channel in our Teams chat that we want everyone to receive notifications for whenever there is a reply in that channel. I don't mind using PowerShell or whatever I need to use in order to achieve this. We just want everyone on the team to receive notifications for all replies in a channel. Background: We attempted to migrate a client group to Teams in order to enable functionality with our Office 365 setup. We have an app for them to use, and we have a Site that we share files on, etc. This group of people are newer to technology, so having everything be user-friendly is a must. The problem came up that nobody was receiving notifications for replies in the Team channels. They are only used to SMS text messaging and group texting, so they want to use the channels similarly to group texts. The group ended up switching back to texting because its easier for them to use. We need them to switch to Teams, so we want to fix this issue for them and make things as easy as possible. I haven't tested that but definitely could. I mean I'm not overly concerned though, my thought is that certain channels will be almost mandatory, like process ones, so employees will be informed they need to either turn on notifications, or make a point of checking it frequently. It won't let me add members to Channels

I am trying to create channels under my general channel with specific people in each channel. All members are in the general, and I want to create the channels for different purposes and then add them to their own specific channel, but there is no option to add member to the new specific channel. The whole general team is on all the new specific channels. How can I add only the people I want in each specific channel when "Add Member" is not an option? Make someone a team owner

If you want to make someone an owner or view who's an owner of an existing team: • To the right of the team name, select More options > Manage team. • Select the dropdown next to Members and guests to see all team members. The Role column on the right tells you if someone is a team member or team owner. To make someone an owner, select the dropdown and then choose Owner. You can also make someone a team owner while you're creating a team.
