Question

I might add to that problem more. I just got an S22 ultra from Samsung US. I installed a esim from AT&T and everything works just fine. I have wifi calling, volte and I have setup my AT&T as my primary sim. As second sim I have a Freedom mobile. It works fine. I have wifi calling, but I am not sure for VoLTE since recently Freedom moved away from AT&T and with T-mobile I go 3G but I do see in connections that I have the VoLTE for Freedom. Since I use data from my AT&T and the phone has internet connection Freedom do not want to register for the Wifi calling. It does that only in wifi mode (both companies). There is no option to indicate to the provider that data is not on to use the other provider as internet same as the wifi. Still I have not tried to test both lines at the same time when there is no wifi but in wifi since both lines are in wifi calling I am receiving both calls at the same time. Something extra on this. For some reason I don't have a wifi calling icon in the notification bar for AT&T. I have it only for Freedom but If i go to call app I do see the wifi calling icon for AT&T adb shell settings get global multi_sim_data_call reveals which sim is set to data adb shell settings put global multi_sim_data_call assigns it to whatever number you give it at the end of that line So I did "settings put global multi_sim_data_call 2" and it switched data to eSim. Initially the phone still had the physical sim as primary even while eSim data was on, but I decided to t...

Can I switch from eSIM to physical SIM? Answer by Ubigi

Can I switch from eSIM to physical SIM? Yes, you can switch back from eSIM to physical SIM in seconds, in fact you can even use both of SIMs at the same time, your primary card for calls and message, and the eSIM for internet. For instance, if you’re traveling abroad, you can get an international eSIM to get cheap mobile data such as Ubigi, then switch to the physical SIM once back in your country and activate your local plan. In this way, you not only avoid changing physical cards which can cause you to lose your card in the process but also remain reachable by your contacts. To switch between your SIM and eSIM for IOS: Tap Settings, tap either Cellular or Mobile Data, and then tap the plan you want to use. Then tap Turn On This Line. To switch between your SIM and eSIM for Android: Open your phone’s Settings. Tap Network & Internet Mobile Network. Advanced. Choose the name of the carrier. Tap Switch. You can also switch between eSIM profiles, this way you can choose the profile depending on the destination and benefit from the best coverage and rates. Sim Card Manager more options for making Data from SIM1 available to SIM2 for wifi calling registration (and vice versa)

I have a US unlocked S22 Ultra and I use two sim cards. One sim is in esim format. Even I have some roaming data I don't want to use data on one of my sim but I want to make available my primary data/sim to the second sim so the roaming provider can register the wifi calling. At the moment I don't see any option. There is a similar feature to EU samsung phones as Auto data switching but it is not exactly what I am describing now. Basically is there a way to make available the primary sim data to the second sim so the second provider to register the wifi calling using the data on the primary sim? If there is no this function would be possible Samsung to implement it? Similar. First of all the Auto data switching is not available in the sim manager of the US models. Secondly the Auto does it assuming you have roaming on the second provider and gets data. What I am asking is to see the second provider (i.e Roaming provider) to register the wifi calling using the data of the primary provider? For example. I have a Freedom Mobile from Canada (no roaming) and a Mint mobile as my main provider in US. Both providers can register on wifi calling using any Wifi. Now the tricky part. I would like the data from Mint mobile to be available on Freedom Mobile so Freedom Mobile can be registered on wifi calling. I hope you understood the example. It is possible. I have a simcard from my main country. And I bought new sim card when I m abroad. I can use wifi call. Phone uses second data wh...

Auto Data Switching on, coverage and reachability ...

Poor reception and weak signals got you annoyed? We know making calls, sending texts, and simple browsing can get frustrating in areas with limited network coverage by some carriers. In fact, another carrier might provide a better reception in those regions! For this reason, many users rely on two SIM cards from different carriers for uninterrupted service. But it isn’t a complete solution. One, mobile data does not automatically switch between two SIM cards, making the experience disjointed. Two, there is no call or text reachability on the out-of-coverage SIM card that makes important OTP and PAN/Aadhar linked transactions impossible. Now, say goodbye to these challenges and hello to non-stop connectivity! Presenting Samsung’s Auto data switching feature. Calls and SMS of the out-of-coverage SIM work uninterrupted using the mobile data of second SIM. Enjoy this nifty feature by turning on ‘Auto data switching’ and ‘Wi-Fi Calling’ settings together. How do I enable Auto data switching? • Go to Settings > Connections > Sim card manager > Auto data switching • Tap to turn on Auto data switching How do I enable Wi-Fi Calling? • Go to Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi Calling • Tap on SIM1 to turn on Wi-Fi Calling for SIM1 • Tap on SIM2 to turn on Wi-Fi Calling for SIM2 How do I know ‘Automatic data switching’ is on? Simply check out the network icons on top of the screen! It will show the SIM whose data is being used. Here, SIM1 is using SIM2 data for connection. When SIM2 will...
