New Bajaj CT 125X Arrives At Dealer Showroom

While Bajaj is foraying into New Bajaj CT125X Remember the CT110X that Bajaj launched in India? It had some elements to clearly distinguish itself from the regular CT110. It cost Rs. 7,000 over regular CT110 and had a weirdly charming aura about it. Bajaj had tried to create something unique that no one else offered in the country. That is a ruggedized version of a budget commuter. Now, Bajaj has used the same formula and offered a CT125X which has a 125cc engine instead of 110 cc engine on CT110X. For starters, it gets a really handsome headlight cowl which also houses the ‘V’ shaped LED DRL and a small visor that is a bit of a stretch on a budget commuter motorcycle. It doesn’t get connected features like Hero’s The round headlight also gets a metal guard for the rugged appeal and its front telescopic suspension gets fork gaiters. X variants of the CT lineup like CT110X and CT125X also get a rubber tank pad for added grip too. At the back, they get a relatively large grab rail for the rear pillion and also doubles up as a relatively decent luggage rack. It gets halogen bulbs for headlight, taillight and turn indicators. Other notable features on Bajaj CT125X include blacked-out effect on the entire motorcycle excluding body panels, a ribbed-effect seat cover, twin shock absorbers at the rear, a luggage carrier above the exhaust to protect the goods from burning, rubber grips on the side crash guard and analog instrumentation. Bajaj CT 125X First Ride Review: India’s Most Affordable 125 cc Motorcycle!

The 125 cc commuter motorcycle segment is one of the highest-grossing segments globally, & it is home to some prominent bikes in India, like the Honda CB Shine and the Hero Glamour. Bajaj also has an offering in this segment with the Pulsar 125, but recently, Bajaj also added the CT 125X to its range. Also Read: Bajaj CT125X Launched In India; Priced At Rs. 71,354 Bajaj CT 125X Design: The Bajaj CT 125X gets a rugged look, and it is aimed at the semi-urban & rural markets in India. Up front is a retro-esque round headlamp which also gets a grille, and the bike also gets an LED DRL on the small cowl, which looks out of place. The bike gets plenty of hard plastics, and while some of them add to the rugged appeal, the rest look like cost-cutting solutions. It does get a USB charging port which should come in handy, and even a standard-fit tail rack which can help with carrying luggage. But what was missing on the bike was a kill switch, which would've come in handy in stop-start traffic. The CT 125X gets a grill on the round headlamp and an LED DRL on the cowl. Overall, it’s a love-it-or-hate-it kind of design, which is borrowed straight from the CT 110X. I liked the design on both motorcycles, but looks are subjective, and I’ll let you be the judge of this one. It does get 3 colour options though, but they are all based on a base black shade, with different coloured stickers. Like Henry Ford once said, “Any customer can have any colour that he wants, so long as it is black” ...

Bajaj CT 125X First Ride Review

What made India one of the largest two-wheeler markets in the world? It's the 100-125cc commuter motorcycles that are lightweight, comfortable, promise great mileage per litre of fuel, and very importantly are priced affordably. While automatic scooters have come to be very popular lately, it is still commuter motorcycles that transport people and goods in tier III or II or even tier I cities. A new product in this very segment is the Bajaj CT 125X which joins Bajaj CT 125X Engine and Fuel Efficiency The CT 125X is powered by a 124.4cc that makes 10.8 hp and 11 Nm of torque which puts the numbers (on paper) ever so slightly higher than its direct competitors. Plus, the peak torque kicks in at a lower 5,500 rpm and it does reflect on the bike's throttle response. It'll easily cruise at low speeds and in higher gears. Overtaking manoeuvres within city traffic are not a problem either thanks to a flat torque band. It gets an 'intelligent carburettor' instead of a fuel-injection system, which makes it one of the very few bikes in the market today with this feature. This engine that was previously used on the Bajaj Discover 125 (now discontinued) is refined and not many vibrations to be bothered about. It can sit at speeds of about 80 km/h for long durations if needed without any complaints. The gearbox is a five-speed unit with an all-down shift pattern. While it's mostly flawless, shifting to neutral at times was cumbersome. The ARAI-certified fuel efficiency figure is 62 kpl...
