लखनऊ [अम्बिका वाजपेयी] । जूता भले ही चांदी-सोने का हो, लेकिन पहना तो पांव में ही जाएगा मगर, शौक भी बड़ी चीज होती है। अब लखनऊ के एक नवाब साहब का दिल किया कि वो और बेगम चांदी के नागरे-चप्पल पहनेंगे, तो हुक्म की तामील की गई। उनके बोलते ही चांदी के नागरे हाजिर हो गए। किस्से को भले ही दो सौ साल गुजर चुके हैं मगर, वह आज भी लखनऊ के दामन का हिस्सा है। साथ में जीवंत है चांदी के नागरे बनाने वाला वो परिवार, वही कारीगरी और वही चांदी के नागरे। आपको मिलाते हैं अशफाक खान और उनकी बेटी आफिया से। राजधानी के तालकटोरा में रहने वाले ये पिता-पुत्री आज भी अपनी इस पुश्तैनी विरासत को संजीदगी से बढ़ाने में जुटे हैं। अशफाक खान अपने बाप-दादाओं के हुनर और विरासत से बेपनाह मुहब्बत करते हैं। अशफाक कहते हैं, मेरे परिवार में 200 साल से यह काम हो रहा है। मैंने अपने वालिद लाडले खां से यह हुनर सीखा और उन्होंने अपने वालिद से, इस तरह करीब चार-पांच पीढिय़ों से इस हुनर की विरासत कायम है। अपने वालिद से सुने किस्सों को ताजा करते हुए अशफाक बताते हैं कि पहली बार किसी नवाब ने चांदी के नागरे पहनने की इ'छा जताई तो उनके पुरखों ने बनाकर पेश किया। इसके बाद तो काम मिलने लगा। नवाब लोग चांदी देते थे और घर से नागरे और चप्पल बनकर पहुंच जाते थे। अशफाक के दो बेटे और चार बेटियां हैं। थोड़ा बहुत काम तो उनके सभी ब'चों को आता है, लेकिन अशफाक की उम्र बढऩे के साथ ही उनकी एक बेटी आफिया इस काम में उनका हाथ बंटाती है। कैसे बनते हैं नागरे और चप्पल एक नागरा बनाने में नाप के हिसाब से ढाई सौ या तीन सौ ग्राम चांदी लगती है। इसकी सिलाई के लिए विशेष उपकरण हैं। जूतों का तल्ला ही बस रबड़ का होता है और बाकी हिस्सा चांदी का। • 15 से 20 हजार रुपये तक ...
