Started in 1991, Concern India Foundation (CIF) is a non-profit, public charitable trust that supports development – oriented organisations working for the disadvantaged. CIF believes that the disadvantaged need opportunities not charity and provides financial and non-financial support to development – oriented organisations working at the grassroots level to bring about positive change. CIF focuses on core issues essential to sustainable social development • Education • Health • Community Development • Environment CIF reaches out to more than 100 NGOs through its offices in Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai and Kolkata. Its aim is to make every disadvantaged individual self-reliant, creating a society of independent people living with dignity Reaching Out CIF supports various initiatives for providing opportunities to the underprivileged to better their lives. Mission Statement Concern India Foundation is a registered non-profit, public charitable trust working towards helping people help themselves by making the disadvantaged self-reliant and enabling them to lead a life of dignity. Set up in 1991, Concern India Foundations extends financial and non-financial support to grassroots NGOs working in the areas of education, health and community development. Currently, we support over 340 grassroots NGOs across India reaching out to nearly 1,50,000 marginalised people directly through our offices in Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Pune. We aspire to bring about a positive transformation in the lives of the most vulnerable section of our society. In the last 25 years we have strengthened and supported over 1000 NGO partners across the country. They aim to make the underprivileged self-reliant and enable them to lead a life of dignity. They provide financial and non-financial support to development-oriented organizations, working with the most vulnerable and underprivileged people of society in the core areas of Education, Health and Community Development. We choose Concern India for Phillips India as this was the only reputed NGO which catered to the various causes of all India Partners so as to where their donated money should be utilized. Phillips partners have participated with Concern India in their initiatives such as tree plantation, kick for a cause ( Football Match where the money goes to orphaned children), A week of thanksgiving before Christmas. Through our efforts in 2019-20, our initiatives have helped bring about a direct positive change in the lives of children, youth, women, the differently-abled the aged, farmers, rural communities from marginalized sections of society in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Delhi, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Through our campaign ‘Fight to Finish COVID 19’Concern India Foundation started relief work to strengthen public health institutions by providing protective equipment and tools enabling them to treat and manage the COVID-19 patients. In addition, we are supporting : distribution of food grains to orphanages, old age homes, daily wage workers and migrant labourers. Our work has helped prevent child labour and child marriages, created permanent solutions for water supply & water conservation, improved quality of life, increased income, encouraged sustainable use of renewable energy, increased employability and supported the promotion of quality education & infrastructure support to the underprivileged.
