NEW DELHI: A total of 19,865 candidates scored 100 percentile across 30 subjects in the Common University Entrance Test-Undergraduate (CUET-UG) 2022. English had the highest number of 100-percentilers at 8,236, followed by Political Science (2,065) and Business Studies (1,669). As per the latest indications, the results were declared on Friday morning by the National Testing Agency, after the agency failed to meet its own deadline of 10 pm, Thursday. The other subjects which recorded over 1,000 candidates with 100 percentile were Biology, Economics and Psychology, indicating that the cutoffs for college admissions in these six subjects are likely to be high. A total of 14,90,293 candidates had registered for the tests, out of which 9,68,202 (60%) had appeared. Undergraduate admissions across 90 participating universities will be based on the CUET-UG results. Other subjects with a high number of 100 percentilers were Hindi (875), Accountancy (422), Geography (326), History (893) and Sociology (261). Initially, all phases of the CUET-UG were scheduled to conclude on August 20. However, the exam was further deferred and split into six phases due to several glitches. The exam was conducted from July 15 to August 30 spread across 20 days and 38 slots. "There are some cities where the count of registered candidates is very large, so the CUET (UG) – 2023 examination will be extended to 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17 June 2023. So, the City Intimation Slip /Admit Card for the candidates whose examinations are not scheduled yet will be scheduled on later dates," NTA notice reads.
