India wrapped up the final day at the Commonwealth Games 2022 with four gold medals, one silver and a bronze. PV Sindhu and Lakshya Sen won their maiden CWG singles titles in badminton while Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty too won their first CWG men’s doubles gold. Meanwhile, Indian men's hockey team was unable to topple the dominant Aussies and settled for a silver. Ace table tennis player Sharath Kamal won his second singles gold, extending his overall medal tally to 13 at the Commonwealth Games. Sathiyan Gnanasekaran, meanwhile, bagged his first CWG singles medal, a bronze. India had a fruitful campaign at Birmingham 2022, winning India won their first CWG medals in lawn bowls, a gold for the women’s fours and a silver for the men’s fours. India bagged a total of 61 medals, comprising of 22 Gold, 16 Silver, and 23 Bronze. This was India’s 4 th best performance at the CWG with respect to winning gold medals.
