A rough map prepared by the Pimpri-Chinchwad New Town Development Authority (PCNDTA) and the district collectorate has included sectors 19-23 within the red zone. The district collector and officials representing PCNTDA, defence, Dehu Cantonment Board (DCB) and Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) held a meeting regarding the demarcation of the red zone on Tuesday. PCNTDA chief executive officer Yogesh Mhase told DNA, “We discussed the rough map prepared by us with the defence authority at the meeting. The map was prepared assuming the 2,000-yard area from the boundary wall of ammunition depot.” Earlier, PCNTDA had assumed the 2,000-yard boundary from the depot wall and eleven developed sectors came under its radius.
