We had heard a lot about this place and wanted to visit from Mumbai end. There is a train from Dadar which reaches Ekta Nagar Rly station at 07:30 am in the morning and the same train leaves at 09:30pm in the evening for Dadar. So for a day’s trip this is the most economical way to commute and covers the Statue of Unity premises. Once you arrive by train then the check in time in the hotels is 12:00 pm and check out time is 10:00 am. So one has to negotiate at the hotel for getting a room for 2 hrs to freshen up, if one wants to avoid public bath/toilets. Locals are adept at handling such situations. This one day trip shall comfortably cover the following points – Ekta cruise, statue of unity, museums, theatres, viewing gallery, valley of flowers, glow garden, dam view point, Light and sound show.
