Coming this week: Traders will get consumer-price-index data tomorrow. On Wednesday, the Federal Reserve is widely expected to keep interest-rates steady but could signal more rate increases in the future. Thursday will bring a rate decision by the European Central Bank, as well as U.S. retail sales. Stock indexes extended recent gains. The S&P 500 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average finished higher, with the Dow rising near 200 points and logging a sixth straight advance. The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite was up 1.5%. Oil prices declined. Front-month Brent futures slipped to $71.84 a barrel, continuing a nearly weeklong slump following Saudi Arabia's decision to Government bond yields rose. The 10-year yield has risen in four of the past five weeks on evidence of Cruise operators and airlines outperformed. Carnival was up about 13% after JPMorgan analysts upgraded the stock to overweight from neutral. American Airlines, JetBlue Airways and Southwest Airlines also rose. Nasdaq Inc. shares fell.
