Amid an impending split in the Shiv Sena Parliamentary Party, Republic TV accessed the list of 12 Lok Sabha MPs who are likely to join the Eknath Shinde camp. This includes Bhavana Gawali and Shrikant Shinde who distanced themselves from the Uddhav Thackeray faction since the beginning of the rebellion in Shiv Sena. As of now, 6 Lok Sabha MPs- Vinayak Raut, Arvind Sawant, Gajanan Kiritkar, Sanjay Jadhav, Om Rane Nimbalkar, and Rajan Vichare are in the Thackeray camp while Dadra & Nagar Haveli parliamentarian Kalaben Delkar is yet to disclose her affiliation. The MLAs reached Mumbai on Saturday evening. They are set to leave for their constituencies after the floor test in the Maharashtra Assembly. A senior Maharashtra police official noted that the MLAs have been given the security cover keeping in mind that 'post the floor test they might be vulnerable to attacks and the input from State Intelligence Department (SID).' Rebel Shiv Sena MLA Eknath Shinde on Wednesday claimed that 46 MLAs, including six-seven Independent MLAs, are currently with him and the number is expected to rise in the time to come. Speaking to ANI, Shinde said that so far they have not received any proposal from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and are not holding any talks with them.
