Dean Student Welfare

The BIT Welfare Society is a student’s society which was registered under Societies Registration Act XXI, 1860 on 23rd Oct. ’17. The registration no. of society is 381. The registered office of the society is at Room No. 6 A, Hostel No. 1, BIT Mesra, Ranchi. The membership of the society is open to all students who have been permitted by Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra to stay as boarders in the Hostels of BIT Mesra. All the employees working for BIT Welfare Society will be members of the society based on their employment. The provision for ESIC, Provident Fund and gratuity is made available to all the employees working under the society. The affair of the society shall be managed by a Governing Body which shall consist of 14 members comprising of the Patron (Dean (SW) - Ex Officio), a President, a Vice-President, a General Secretary, a Joint Secretary, a Treasurer and eight members.

The collection includes 10,000 online journals, 100 print journals, 113,000 books, 2500 CDs, 60 audiocassettes and 4000 project reports.
