In addition, this herb may also aid in blood sugar and cholesterol regulation. However, more clinical research is needed to examine the purported health benefits of fenugreek. The amount of fenugreek you should take each day depends on a number of factors, including your weight, age and health status. Only your doctor can tell you how much fenugreek is appropriate for you. For this reason, consult your doctor for personalized fenugreek dosage recommendations before taking this herbal supplement. The recommended daily dose of fenugreek is 5 to 30 g defatted fenugreek seed powder up to three times daily, according to health professionals with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
